    Hola,

I have wasted quite some time with other software and am (back) with wordpress for a serious new version of the site and no matter what I will stick with wordpress from now on . . .

I have installed 3.3.1 with multisite enabled via softaculous installer at arvixe.com in case that would matter well I am at the first steps of setting up and customizing and for some mysterious reason on network settings edits to the “welcome user email” are not saved! I can edit the “welcome email” and it is saved just fine like everything else except the “welcome user email” – I save changes – it says “options saved” at the top of the page but that email text is always back to the default one . . .

    any ideas?

It’s in the DB somewhere… Look in the options tables.

damn it I never fooled around with DB so far and was hoping for it to be in a source code file but maybe I will check it out or an update will be available by the time the site goes live . . . thanks again

I got the same problem and also the mail to new users contains no password or usename, just the text USERNAME and PASSWORD.

I use wordpress DK and have changed language in “settings – general” to danish. When I change back to english the mail to new users are sent with no errors in it, but ofcourse in english.

The mail to users who create a new blog is sent with no problems in danish and in english.

I have tryed to look in the options table in my DB but can`s see where and how…

In witch file can I change the default text in the welcome user mail? I use PhpMyAdmin and FileZilla.

    Thanks.

I downloaded a new version of WordPress today via Softaculous which was available through my Hosting Service.
My problem is I haven’t been issued with any Password to login with , also I didn’t recieve an email from them either ( box was checked)during installation. So now I am between a rock and a hard place, not being able to login at all!It even says that it doesn’t reconize my email address as well.
I hope someone has an answer to this one,
    Many Thanks,
    Donald
