I have been using WPBE to add featured images to posts.
I am also using Meow Apps Media File Renamer Pro to rename images based on the post title.

All featured images added with WPBE are not showing correctly on Media File Renamer.

I brought this issue to them and this was their response:

This seems to be an issue with WPBE, unfortunately. I don’t know this plugin, but if you are adding images with it, then it is in charge of the “attached” field

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Hello

Ok! I can also answer as the author of a third-party plugin.

But let’s try to solve this problem. Unfortunately, I don’t know how Meow Apps Media File Renamer Pro works.
I need information, What does this plugin use to rename images, which hook?

    I am not sure.
How would I go about figuring that out?

here is my conversation with meow apps:

    Meowapps:

    `Hi,

I am afraid I can’t reply in a simple way here ?? The plugin renames when you are using the bulk features or the manual rename, and indeed, in those cases, it renames and run its own WP actions. But depending on your options, it also hooks to the WordPress native actions to start the renaming process. So I am not sure what the question is about exactly.

What doesn’t work with WPBE actually? What do you want to do? Something breaks, or it just doesn’t do anything?
Can you use Media File Renamer otherwise?`

Me:I can use file renamer. The issue is that any images added to a post via WPBE do not show to be attached in file renamer.

Is there a way I could have you speak directly with the developers of WPBE?
    Thank you,

    Meowapps:

That’s simply because they don’t attach the images to anything; they can talk to me, but actually I am not the problem (or the solution), the fact is that they should attach the images to a post if they can ?? And Media File Renamer can indeed use that information. They can talk to me, definitely, but I don’t think they will have an interest to do so. You should just ask them why the images aren’t attached; if they can fix that, it’s great ??

Me:I am not sure I understand? If they are not attached than how can they show up on the front end, as they indeed do?

    Meowapps:

Because they are creating a post (a page, or a product, I don’t know what it does exactly), upload the photo and use that photo in your post. Thing is, when you do this, to make your WordPress nice and neat, they should also ATTACH the photo to that post. That’s not required to make it work, so maybe they took a shortcut and didn’t do that (even it’s one line of code), but they should do that. This is why ??
