Does not send emails

Does version 3.0.3 send emails okay on the test site?

The only changes in 3.0.4 have been in the way that comments are processed. When you leave a comment on the test site, does the value of ‘due to be sent’ or ‘messages sent since install’ increase on the ‘Thank Me Later’ > ‘Statistics’ page?

Are you using any other plugins which deal with comments, which could present a conflict?

Hi. I have 104 active plugins on my site. Checking which one of them conflicts with 3.04, if any, will take some work. I deleted 3.04 from test site and installed 3.03 on it again and it works fine. I guess I will stick to 3.03 for now.

Okay, but did you notice the value ‘due to be sent’ increase? This will help me narrow down where the problem is occurring.

I upgraded the plugin again on the test site to 3.04. I left a comment from another browser. No email sent. due to be sent did not increase too.

If you change the comment to ‘Unapproved’ then back to ‘Approved’, does the ‘due to be sent’ value increase? This will help me determine whether the problem is with the way Thank Me Later handles comments, or if something is preventing Thank Me Later from being notified of new comments.

Do any of your plugins deal with changing the comment status or with comment approval?

I changed the comment to ‘Unapproved’ then back to ‘Approved’. ‘due to be sent’ value did not increase?

I have tried with all of those plugins and cannot replicate this issue. I will perhaps add back the old code alongside the new code in the next release — although redundant, it will hopefully solve this issue. For now, I recommend you stick with 3.0.3 — the only change in 3.0.4 was support for Disqus, which I assume you do not require.

Importantly, it seems that ‘Easy Comment Uploads’ has been removed from the WordPress plugin directory. There seems to be a major security vulnerability in earlier releases, and with the removal from the directory, I am not confident that the plugin is secure even in the most recent versions. You should perhaps re-consider using the plugin, unless you are confident it is secure.
