    I receive the WooCommerce site admin “New Order” email as well as the customer “Thanks for shopping with us” email… but no “Gift Card” email.

    When I look in the server email logs (SMTP) I can see that those are the only two emails sent – so it seems to be generating the gift card (I can see the generated gift card in the gift card balances screen), the plugin just simply does not send any email when the gift card is purchased (only the WooCommerce emails get sent).

    The “send a preview email” on the email designer page is working… since I am receiving the test “Preview email system” email. I can confirm that this email also appears in the SMTP logs.

    So, to summarise, WooCommerce is sending all emails pertaining to the store to admin and to customer, gift card is generating the purchased gift card but not sending any email to the customer.

    Try disabling the WooCommerce Transactional Email System for the gift card email. This setting is found at Pimwick Plugins > PW Gift Cards > Settings.

    Disabling using WooCommerce to send the gift card seems to have worked. I am now receiving the gift card. It’s a pity that we cannot use the WooCommerce templates, but it will have to do.

    The transactional email will queue delivery rather than sending the gift card immediately. This results in only a small delay that the user may experience (usually 1-2 seconds at most).

    It is still using the WooCommerce email template so that it contains your full store information, etc.
