so I installed this plugin, saved the permalink and copied the templates to the theme folder. WHen I visit any of the URLS like mysite.com/user-profile/ I get an error saying “Nothing Found for “user-profile”. So I have no idea what is going on. Do I need to manually create the pages in wordpress?

  • it works for me but the details for installation are very poor indeed.
here’s the steps i did to make it work:

    • install the plugin
    • activate the plugin
    • go to Settings > Permalinks and just press save, don’t need to change anything
    • now here you need access to your server and : copy all the files from ../wp-content/plugins/user-frontend/templates/* (they should all be in the form of user-something.php) to ../wp-content/themes/yourtheme/
    • you should end up with 6 extra files in the root folder of your theme
    • now in your browser type the address to access any of those webpages (example: https://www.mycoolsite.com/user-login/ ). If you see the login fields in a separate page then the plugin works

Okay now this is the furthest I got so far, next is inspecting the forms and changing the design a bit since I use a custom theme.

@neosin No. You don’t need to create the pages in WordPress (though I think sometimes it’d be easier to explain). I use the mechanic called Virtual Pages with Custom Redirections. @vrfx described the correct steps to install and activate the plugin. If it still doesn’t work, contact me via Skype: thomas.inpsyde

    @vrfx: Thanks a lot!

Just wondered if the password strength meter is supposed to work on the frontend? It doesn’t for me at the moment but am still testing at present.

    Thanks

Sorry – just an update to say I forgot to style the strength meter in the style.css file, hence I thought nothing was working. Is there way to bring the wp-admin style to the front end easily?

    Thanks

Hmm, I did exactly what the instructions said to do I installed the plugin then activated it, then opened permalinks and clicked save. Finally I added template files to my theme….

I still get the Not Found error, The requested URL /user-login/ was not found on this server.

I can;t figure out what is wrong with the permalink struction, What is the correct permalink should it be set on default.

    Thanks

@mobiquio how does your permalink structure look like?

Hello, I install and activate the plugin.
    and set my Permalinks https://mysite.com/%category%/%postname%
then move those .phps to /mytheme/.

when I visit those URLS, I can only see https://mysite.com/user-profile (not https://mysite.com/user-profile/). other URLS are “”Nothing Found”.

I don’t know what wrong with that. Any clues?

    Thanks

    Hello there,

sorry for the huge and unforgivable delay and lack of support. I’ll do my best to change this in 2015.

This problem sounds like some permalink errors. For this there is a better check in the upcoming version 1.0.3. But to resolve this issue, head to the Permalink-Section (normally wp-admin/options-permalink.php) an just hit the button save.

    Best regards,
    Thomas
