• Conceptually very good !

But, even though very simple at first glance, settings is an issue and all permutations and combinations does not get the desired results. There is no installation documentation. A line per field would suffice.

Email address slider/option just does not work.

Developer needs to QA his work before releasing.

that’s a very vague comment regarding “desired results”
if you have questions or need help about the plugin ask for help.
a program this small, doesn’t really need any documentation, enter the values in the fields and they will show up.. very simple.
i think giving this plugin 1 star is extremely unfair. people like you discourage developers from working. plugin developers work for free.

if there are issues people usually report them to me and i fix them in the next update..

Please read my comments again. Don’t react like a child !
Please don’t have end-users do all the QA work for you, that too for a small plugin like yours. I have been playing with your plugin for a week now without any satisfactory results.
What do you expect me to write in a review in this case?!!?

For a small plugin you don’t expect the end user to get into a long email trail with you over a couple of days so that QA will be done for you at the cost of the end user’s time and energy.

If your plugin is very small and yet does not work inspite of 3 guys trying it out at my end (just wanted to be sure I was doing the right stuff et all) then what I have commented in my review is fair enough.

I understand that developers need to be encouraged; but at the same time the end-user community cannot be misguided by false evaluations. Developers need to write good code and QA their products before release.

Please also understand that my review is not a result of some personal bias towards you.

Also, instead of reacting I did read about you guys asking about the issues I had with the plugin. That’s because I spent quite some time experimenting with your plugin. I liked the concept. I wrote in bold in my fist review, – Conceptually I liked the plugin. It has great prospect.

If you had asked I would have enumerated the issues to you. And you could have got your plugin a level up by fixing the issues.

this is an open source community, meaning developers and users work together on things. not every developer is a company, in my case its what i do in my spare time, and yes some mistakes go un-noticed, that’s the beauty of open-source, when a bug is found, the users are usually nice enough to tell the developer what the mistake is, in my case i do that every single time.

what you did is write a very vague and fairly offensive message and did not specify what the exact issue is. you’re preaching what developers “should” do meanwhile i dont see you giving anything back to the community. developers want to know what the issue is, im working for free to help make the community better, but people like you who don’t appreciate the time and effort it takes to make even the simplest plugin are bad for the community. when you go and give such a poor rating to a plugin you’re saying that nothing about it works, when in fact only 1 small portion of it is not working. Im sad to hear that you and 3 other people couldnt figure out such a simple plugin. If you feel that the instructions are poor or non-existant, then as a member of the community you can volunteer and make them yourself, or ask the developer if they need a hand. your mentality sounds like the kind of person who wants to take everything for free and never give anything back. its a shame because people who do give a moment of their time to tell the developer what the issue is before judging, find that every issue gets resolved faster. in this case you’ve just managed to insult a developer who has made 8 free plugins and 2 free themes. your comments are not going to make me stop what i do, but they simply leave a bad taste to know that there are people who don’t even know how to say “thank you”

    best regards
    Bilal
