this is an open source community, meaning developers and users work together on things. not every developer is a company, in my case its what i do in my spare time, and yes some mistakes go un-noticed, that’s the beauty of open-source, when a bug is found, the users are usually nice enough to tell the developer what the mistake is, in my case i do that every single time.
what you did is write a very vague and fairly offensive message and did not specify what the exact issue is. you’re preaching what developers “should” do meanwhile i dont see you giving anything back to the community. developers want to know what the issue is, im working for free to help make the community better, but people like you who don’t appreciate the time and effort it takes to make even the simplest plugin are bad for the community. when you go and give such a poor rating to a plugin you’re saying that nothing about it works, when in fact only 1 small portion of it is not working. Im sad to hear that you and 3 other people couldnt figure out such a simple plugin. If you feel that the instructions are poor or non-existant, then as a member of the community you can volunteer and make them yourself, or ask the developer if they need a hand. your mentality sounds like the kind of person who wants to take everything for free and never give anything back. its a shame because people who do give a moment of their time to tell the developer what the issue is before judging, find that every issue gets resolved faster. in this case you’ve just managed to insult a developer who has made 8 free plugins and 2 free themes. your comments are not going to make me stop what i do, but they simply leave a bad taste to know that there are people who don’t even know how to say “thank you”
