    There are all sorts of reasons that email might not work, there usually isn’t a simple answer in these cases because for most sites, Email Users “just works”.

    Some questions:

    1. Do you get other email from your site (e.g. comment or new user registration notification)?
    2. Are you running any other sort of email plugins (e.g. wpMandrill)?
    3. Have you checked your spam folder?
    4. Have you checked the User settings to ensure the user accepts email and/or post notifications?
    5. Does your hosting provider enforce outbound email limits?
    6. Have you enabled debug mode and verified the mail headers look correct?

    Debug mode is useful as it does everything but actually dispatch the email message. It lets you see the email header to ensure it contains the proper addresses.
