Does not work in wordpress 5.5 (thumbnails)

    After updating wordpress, I encountered a very strange problem. The site has mixed previews of articles. The article has one image, and on the main page (and in the categories) this article has a thumbnail from another article. This happened with all the articles on the site (more than 90,000 articles). I couldn’t figure out what the problem was for a long time, but deleting the plugin fixed this problem on both my sites.

    Hi @altstav,

    That’s odd — thanks for the report. Can you try installing WP Redis version 1.0.1 to see if you experience the same issue? I’m curious whether there’s a bug in our implementation of wp_cache_get_multiple(), or if it’s an issue with WordPress 5.5.

    Wordpress 5.5 works correctly with version 1.0.1. No problems were detected in 1 hour. Until I leave the plugin enabled, if this problem appears, I will immediately write here.

    Are your thumbnails generated by a plugin or a theme? Would it be easy for me to recreate the issue?

    I don’t use any plugins for generating thumbnails.
    There are no additional plugins on the site that can affect images or thumbnails. I don’t use any seo plugins either.
    My plugins:
    Nginx Helper
    Pure PHP Localization
    RusToLat
    Scheduled Post Trigger
    WP No Category Base
    Duplicate Title Checker
    Classic Editor
    Democracy Poll

    the page displays thumbnails like this – “the_post_thumbnail”

    Ok.

    Thanks for all of this detail, @altstav. I don’t have any immediate ideas for what the issue might be, but I’ll continue to give it some thought. This will be a helpful thread to refer to if there are future reports.

    For now, feel free to continue using WP Redis v1.0.1.
