We have been using this plugin since it was a premium one but they recently discontinued the premium one and started only offering free one since then it does not work anymore like it used to do. I am using the plugin with Genesis Framework and often all of the widgets get removed for custom Sidebars so I have to restore them from backup.

This is the 3rd. time all the widgets item went missing on its own.

  • Hello @flourishdna

    I hope you’re well today!

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble.

Could you tell me please if there’s, by any chance, any “pattern” or circumstances surrounding those incidents that you noticed? By this I mean for example

    – any updates (may it be WP core or any plugin or the theme)?
    – any specific changes in any aspect of configuration of the site?
    – perhaps some sort of cache (on site or on server) being cleared?

If there’s anything whatsoever that you noticed, let me know please. Could you also tell me what version of Genesis Framework and with what theme are you using on site?

    Best regards,
    Adam

@wpmudev-support8 Thank you for replying. We are using Genesis version 3.2.1. The widget items started going missing all of a sudden so we started keeping backup of the widgets every time we make changes to it and restore them when they went missing. We have not yet noticed any pattern yet but from now I will observe it closely and report back to you when it happens.

    Hi @flourishdna

    Thank you for response!

Yes, please keep an eye on that and update us here once it happens again, especially if you’ll manage to identify some “pattern” or any “possibly related” action. This would help a lot.

i tried to find out what might be causing it meanwhile but I must admit I didn’t have much luck. Such an “intermittent” issue often is related to some sort of either caching or resource “regeneration” but it’s hard to say without either “catching it” live or knowing more.

I’ll appreciate any additional information that you might come up with as it would help investigate it further.

    Kind regards,
    Adam
