Does NOTHING!

  • Struggling through the insanely long “help” texts this plugin does NOTHING. “Simply hit save and you’re finished!” No way! Clicking save does absolutely nothing, no gallery or album is inserted in the post.

    The help texts imply that the old versions were much, much, much easier to use. Now you have to insert long “short” codes.

    All help is written for people who already know how to use this plugin. Not for newbies.

    Uninstalled it and will never use it ever again!

    @duisterdenhaag – Thanks for writing this as a support topic, too (I did respond to your review but let’s continue this here).

    If you are to re-install NextGEN Gallery then when you go to insert the display you will need to use at least two of the accordion tabs in the IGW (“green button”) in the TinyMCE editor’s visual tab.

    The first is the display type, it default to Basic Thumbnails so you can possibly just skip over this but the second accordion tab is vital, you must choose a source (the default being a gallery) to display … then you can click the save button and publish your post/page and see the gallery you chose.
