    Hi,
Thank you for such great plugin.

I’ve installed and enabled these functions:
    Enable image replacement
    Scale images & Lazy load
    Enable network based optimizations
Serve CSS & JS through Optimole
    Enable Gif to Video conversion
    Resize>Enable Retina images
    Enable generic lazyload placeholder
    Enable lazyload for background images
Enable lazyload for embedded videos and iframes.

All of those above work well.

But I’ve installed another plugin “Clearfy – WordPress optimization plugin and disable ultimate tweaker”
There is a function to disable Rest API ,which disables Rest API and removes Rest API links.
And it warns use this if you don’t need to manage WordPress with third party solutions.

So , I’d like confirm if Optimole need Rest API to connect or serve images and assets?

  • Hello,

We use the Rest API to update the Dashboard stats and sync options.
You might be able to disable them and the serving of images once configured should still work, but I you will have to enable the REST API for every change you would want to make.

I would not recommend this, but if you require this you can try it out.

Let me know if this answers your question.
    Thank you!
