Does plugin auto-update?

The plugin does not auto-update itself but the WordPress does it and you can enable or disable this functionality as described below.

Thank you so much for your prompt response on the errors in your plugin, and to my post.

Wordpress does not auto-update plugins until version 5.5, and I am running only version 5.1, as I wrote in the original post. So there is something mysterious happening on my server. I will need to investigate elsewhere.

Now, Ivory Search version 5.4.1 in producing the following error on WP5.1 and PHP 5.6:

Warning: trim() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /nfs/misc/vhost/cmp/wp-content/plugins/add-search-to-menu/public/class-is-public.php on line 380

Could you please tell me exactly where you are getting it on your website?

The error is on our error log. I had to deactivate the Ivory Search plugin again.

I have released the plugin version 5.4.2 that contains many bug fixes so could you please try using it?
