Hi, i would like to know if excluding category prefix in yoast setting also applies to product categories: for example:

    .com/shop/cleanser/face-wash
    to
    .com/shop/face-wash

if not, is there any options in the setting that’s able to do that? I know rankmath is able to achieve that but i’ve migrated it to seo framework and they don’t have this feature.

I’m only able to find the guide for categories but not product categories: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-remove-the-categories-prefix/

    Thanks!

    Hello @fartbrat,

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin. No, that setting in the Yoast SEO plugin applies only to Posts, not WooCommerce products. We don’t have a feature for products because it’s not recommended. Removing?/product/,?/product-category/, or?/shop/?from the URLs is not advisable due to the way WordPress resolves its URLs. It uses the?product-category?(or any other text for that matter), the base of a URL to detect that it is a URL leading to a product category.

You can read more about it here —?https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/removing-product-product-category-or-shop-from-the-urls/
