Does resend email actually works?

Hello,
I got an email that is not spam, but was being marked as spam.
I pushed the resend email button because I need to reply to that email, but nothing happens.
p.s. I use Wp mail smtp with Sendinblue(brevo)

I suspect you’re right and in the case of an external smtp that function might not work correctly. Unfortunately in the last period I’ve been very busy with work and i couldn’t update the plugin but i think i’ll release a new version soon that includes some fixes and improvements, and as well some new features!I’ll also take a look at “re-sending” emails because another user had also reported me a problem (however i don’t think it’s related to what’s happening to you), but it means that it can be improved, ??!
I thank you of course for the report (and for the feedback), I will keep you updated here if I have any news (or questions).

Sure thing! I’m working on a huge update that fixes many of the problems of the past and optimises the code a bit, the dash widget etc. be ready because we’ll release it soon!

Not yet, sorry for that, but the release is really close, just yesterday another issue (related in this case to the languages) was fixed.
I hope to give it to you as a gift for Christmas, it is almost ready just need time to wrap it ??hahaha thanks, it will be a good Xmas gift XD
hey there @oceandigitals, I wanted to first wish you a happy new year and sorry for the delay, will be rewarded with a new and much improved version.
We actually have the release ready and only one PR is left to be merged, but unfortunately my collaborator (who took care of it), is now outside of Italy and he is having a bit of trouble finding a decent connection to complete his job. I would like to wait for him since he has taken such good care of it, I would not like to supersede him
I think we will release the plugin in the first days of the year ( in the end I was not wrong then). if you want to follow the unfolding just enable the gh “watch” function on this page.
And that’s not all! Still other changes for the “sake of publishing a new version soon” are left out, but I plan in the near future to update a few things, for example the scoring system that decides whenever a mail is spam or “ham” and I am working to a npm module that will be used to permanently fix the language code / country code issue.
So get ready because next year there will be a lot of news, and again sorry for the delay and, in the meantime, Happy new year!Hi Erik!

Ciao @oceandigitals, my collaborator is coming back so shortly we will merge all the new changes and we’ll publish a “quick” beta that I use, for at least a couple of days, to test that everything is ok on a real environment with “real bots”.
I took care the problem you reported, in short the email being sent to [site_admin_mail] and not to the real email address. CF7 uses this system with “proxy” tags and they have to be converted before sending the email, which was not being done, so thank you for the feedback, I guess it will improve the plugin for many people. I unfortunately never noticed it because in my sites I distribute the emails to “absolute” addresses (e.g. [email protected]) and I honestly never noticed it. I completely rewrote that section of the resend function that gather the mail data, now it should work fine.

here the first beta of the last version of cf7a, if there are no problems I think I will release it in a couple of days… if you have the chance to give a try, let me know, especially if it solved the problem of this topic. thanks ??

First of all i wish you to recover as fast as possible… In the meantime we have done the necessary tests and, apart from a mini problem related to the update with the new cf7 integration, everything else is ok. I will fix this problem and publish cf7a, thank you again and remember to report problems (as you did), so that we can make a plan to improve the plugin! We have many ideas still but if you want feel free to participate in the discussions here on GitHub,
Remember that if you want to collaborate you don’t necessarily have to know how to program but that you can participate with ideas translations guides tutorials etc.I can confirm this issue isn’t resolved yet. It would be nice if the resend button sends the email to the email address provided in the CF7 To: field and not to the website admin email address.
aww snap! Thanks for the report… but so, if I have understood correctly, you are not using a “tag” however you are getting the email to the admin address?
Flamingo doesn’t store the recipient of the email so I have to find a solution for cases like yours, the best I can do (and what I have tried) is to try to get the current contact (by title), search for the email used as the destination and return it, the admin email is only used if that tag was used or as a fallback.
So can I ask you if you still have a form with that name and if the destination mail address is present and “correct”?
