Does Smush support b/w drawings and keep metadata name?

    Hello,

    I’d like to try your plugin and have had these problems with other image plugins.

    1. Pen and ink handdrawn images with text seem very hard to compress! Can Smush compress them and keep them legible?

    2. I rewrite each image name to include my name and copyright date. Is that part of the metadata you keep, or how would I choose that option?

    I hope you are doing good today.

    1. Pen and ink handdrawn images with text seem very hard to compress! Can Smush compress them and keep them legible?

    – How large are those images (width&height)?
    – What format is this (PNG/JPG)?
    – What DPI is used for those images?
    I ask all of this as “en and ink handdrawn images” sounds like you use scanner in first place to move images to PC/laptop. If I recall correctly scanners by default use 300 DPI or more, like 600 when it comes to custom settings.

    2. I rewrite each image name to include my name and copyright date. Is that part of the metadata you keep, or how would I choose that option?

    If “Strip my image metadata” is enabled in Smush, the name and copyright date will be removed as those are also metadata.
