Does the cache auto flush/clear?

    Just curious, does this plugin configure some form of cache-flushing when pages are saved, options updated, etc?

    Yes, to the degree that WordPress core already flushes those caches. The plugin doesn’t flush any custom caches.

    And just to be clear, when installing this plugin do I already need something like phpredis or predis installed, or will it take care of that?

    Yes, with an accessible Redis server
