Does the job

  • Does what I was hoping it would do! Relatively straightforward in use and the author is prompt at responding on the support channel for assistance.

    If I had a wishlist, it would be lovely to see the following at some point:

    • A batch facility for larger libraries (depending on your hosting, you may run into issues with timeouts / partial processing of library). A batch facility would help alleviate this issue.
    • Ability to filter the scan – again, for larger libraries this would help. For example, filter by date or by author.
    • The tool currently has a ‘delete all’ facility – so, rather than using checkboxes to indicate which should be deleted / ignored, you can just nuke ’em all. It’d be great if this could be extended a little, so you could delete all file not found or delete all not attached but leave the other, etc.

    Happy to recommend! It trimmed my 10,000+ library down to a more manageable 2,000 or so files ??

    Thanks for your review, and noted your remarks, thanks for this also as well ?? I will check the plugin quite a lot soon, so much actually that I wonder if I should fork it and make a new name for it; not sure. I will give more options, what to scan and how, right now the plugin can do too many and I feel it’s not clear enough. There will be also a third option for cleaning files, very linked to my other plugin called “Media Usage”. If you are willing to be a beta tester, you are welcome ??

    Thanks Jordy, and congratulations on this helpful plugin. Your hard work on it is appreciated.

    Regarding the new options, I think it would be understandable if some of these were pro-only features – the pro upgrade is very reasonably priced and, given the additional work, I’m sure people would be happy to pay for more filtering options, etc.
