Does the Landing Page Plugin work?

I hate to ask a silly question, but does this plugin actually work? I’m seeing lots of reviews talking about Fatal Errors and lost access to the WordPress administrative tools and back end. This scares me.
Im using the newest WordPress verion with the Misty Lake theme and do not want it trashed by a fatally buggy plugin. Have the aforementioned problems been fixed?
Any comments appreciated.
