Does the “Remember Me” checkbox work?

  • Hello!

    There is a “Remember Me” checkbox on the WordPress login page https://…/wp-admin.
    Google browser remembers passwords and that’s why I never used this checkbox. And today I needed to find out if the data is remembered if the checkbox is checked. I got the impression that they are not remembered.
    Is this checkbox really not working or am I missing something?

    This has nothing to do with Google and your passwords. The “remember me” box sets a cookie on your browser that lasts for two weeks. If you block or regularly delete cookies, it would seem like it didn’t work.
