Does the Timeline Express do the horizontal layout

At the moment it does not , but I am currently working on re-writing the plugin to be future proof, more stable and more extensible – including the ability to layout the timeline in a horizontal fashion.

I am aiming to have that wrapped up by the end of the month.

Just wondering if there are any updates on whether Timeline Express can be used for a horizontal layout. I could really use this for an urgent project I am working on!

Any updates would be very much appreciated, as there are barely any other wordpress horizontal timeline options.

Hey @rsheppard,

I am actually working on an add-on that will get this done. The add-on will ideally work with both the free and pro versions. I’m still not sure if I want to wrap this into the pro version, or release it as an add-on, but it is in the works and should be done fairly soon.

Thank you for the quick response. Do you have an ETA for when you hope to have the add-on complete? I am under a deadline and will need to go with another plugin if Timeline Express doesn’t include this capability within the next week or so. I would love to stick with Timeline Express since it looks so much better than any plugin I have tried.

Hi Ross,

I can’t make any promises to deadlines as during the week I still work a regular job, and work on these projects when I am not doing that. I don’t want to make a promise and not follow through, all I can say is my goal is to have it done in the next week or so, unless something unforeseen pops up.

Sorry that I didn’t follow up here – we released the horizontal timeline a few weeks ago. It is now included in Timeline Express Pro.
