• Hi,

I’m doing maintenance and I noticed my GTMetrix score dipped compared to earlier this March.

I dug around and noticed there was google analytics scripts being called on that I didn’t notice before.

You can see under the waterfall section, there are no google analytics scripts called, just google tag manager.

There’s two Google Analytics scripts being called now, along with Google Tag Manager.

Like to check if the recent updates includes calling on Google Analytics? And if no, any idea what is responsible for those scripts being call?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Kai,

My plugin does not call any external scripts as it “only” helps you build more advanced Google Tag Manager setups.

GTM will however call analytics.js once you add a GA tag and publish that container. Remember, GTM is not a standalone measurement product, it is an additional layer between your website and measurement/tracking tags to implement them in a more straightforward way.
