    Does this plugin still work?

I have clients uploading HUGE images and I have it set to reduce the sizes and its not working…
I mean dimensions were set to be below 2000px for full sized images and I see 6k image sizes in the media library….

    Hello @shamai

    Hope you’re doing well!

I’ve tested the “Resize my full size images” option on my end and it is working well, original images were resized to set width and height.

Would you please let us know more information about the issue on your site? What are the enabled settings at the moment? What are the exact dimensions added to the Resize my full size images option?

I mean dimensions were set to be below 2000px for full sized images and I see 6k image sizes in the media library

Please smush one image manually on your site via the media library, check the image dimensions before optimizing an image with Smush, and after optimizing an image, will dimension be changed?

If the dimensions will not be changed, please make sure there is no conflict with another plugin. Deactivate all plugins besides the Smush and optimize an image again, see if this has resized it.

If all is well, start activating one plugin at a time, every time checking how the image resizing is working.

Please share a link to your site so we could have a look.

    Please advise,

    Cheers,
    Nastia

    Hi Nastia

Here were the settings for the plugin.
I then uploaded an image that had a width larger than 2048.

As you can see it did not get resized on upload to the media library.
i was able to manually smush it afterward.

When I have a chance i can spin up a dev and remove some plugins and see if that affects it. The only plugins I have that touch the media files are “crop thumbnails” plugin, and “regenerate thumbnails”

    Hello @shamai,

    Trust you’re doing well!

I could not replicate this issue on my end. The images were resized successfully. Is there caching (Object/Varnish) enabled on a server level and on your site? Would you please purge cache and see if the image dimensions will be showing up correctly? If such cache is active on a server the resized dimensions are not shown right away.

In Smush settings please make sure option Automatically smush my images on upload is anabled and Image Sizes is set to ALL. Please see this screenshot:

If images are not still resized, please run a test for a conflict with another plugin.

    Please advise,

    Kind regards,
    Nastia
