• this is my doubt i have read about honepot traps to bots that will stop them from registering in the website and it blocks them right away.. so my members will be real people and not bots… does this plugin do this?

one plugin i tried said this…
“The plugin will install a “Red Herring” comment form that will be invisible to normal users. Spammers will find this form and try to do their dirty deed using it. This results in the IP address being added to the deny list”

but that plugin is not compatible with my theme… but i really need that kind of protection…

    does your plugin does this?

    Hi Vizcano,

Yes, WangGuard add honeypot fields, but is blocking too to VPN, Proxies, TOR Network, Splog servers, Splog ISPs, thousand and thaoudant of Splog IPs, domains, etc

In the Splog world, there is not only bots, are too the called Chinese farms. That Chinese farms are real people registering account at many website for some dollars.

The honeypot don’t work with that people because are real people and they don’t see the honeypot fields and they are switching IP every few seconds, so the IP block (added by you) don’t work.

    Kind regards
