    Hi @rjfnz,

Yes EBD is currently working with the latest version of WordPress. Just to make sure, the 3 downloaded plugins you have installed are Contact Form 7, Download Monitor, and our Email Before Download plugin correct? I am unable to locate the EBD form on the website you provided. If you could please provide the following, it would be helpful in troubleshooting your issue:

    1. Shortcode and a URL showing the WordPress Download Monitor working successfully
    2. Shortcode and a URL showing the Contact Form 7 working successfully
    3. Shortcode and a URL showing the Email Before Download failing/succeeding

Hi, and a big thank you for the quick reply. Much appreciated. All 3 plugins are installed.

Here is what you requested I think:

    Download Monitor: [download id=’710′] https://kiwienzyme.com/wp-content/uploads/Actinidin%20use%20in%20Meat%20Tenderising.pdf

    Contact Form 7: [contact-form-7 id=”403″ title=”Meat Test Form – not published”]
    https://kiwienzyme.com/meat-tender/

Email before Download: This is set to the ‘inline link’ option. Can’t see where to get the shortcode for you sorry. But here is the error mesage I get.https://kiwienzyme.com/download/710/?uid=d637056cd0
‘No file paths defined. Go to home page’

Sorry to give an incomplete response to your help response.

Now I know it should work though, I will carefully go through each setup step again and try and sort it out. Naturally any extra help you can provide is much appreciated too.

    Regards, Roger

One more thought. In the EBD settings there is a field named ‘Default CF7 Form ID’. Should I have put the relevant CF7 Form ID there? Thanks again. Roger

    Hi Roger,

No worries thank you for providing the following information. In the EBD settings the field named ‘Default CF7 Form ID’ is not required but if you are using that CF7 ID frequently it should automatically populate. I would try the following shortcode and see if it works for you:
    [email-download download_id="X" contact_form_id="Y"]

The X is going to be the download ID, the Y is going to be the CF7 Form ID. If you visit the following link, this should help in locating the ID’s:

Hi, almost there. I have got it working to the extent that the name and email address on the post get completed, the form can be filled and sent, but the Download button that appears fails to open the URL.

I have pasted the URL I am adding to the download plugin into a browser and it opens OK. It is

However, when the form is completed and the URL is clicked, it defaults to my documents file, rather than the URL on our server?

    Any thoughts? Thanks again. Roger

This is the error message I get:

Solved. Had to tick ‘Redirect to File’ in Download Monitor. Thanks so much for all your help though. Regards, Roger
