    Hi,

    I’ve just tried placing a new post (using the classic editor), and the Visual Link Preview icon is no longer in the menu.

    Checking through a few of my older posts, the icon is no longer there either, and looking at the place where I’d originally placed the link preview, I’m just getting a:

    [visual-link-preview encoded=”eyJ0eXBlI (300 characters of blah de blah) ifQ==”]

    …where the VLP was, even though the VLP is still working on the front end.

    Is there a fix for this, or does VLP no longer work with the classic editor?

    It’s still compatible with the classic editor.

    From what you describe it sounds like the plugin isn’t activated anymore. Could you check the Plugins page?

    Hi Brecht,

    I’ve found what it is, following using the troubleshoot mode.

    It’s due to a ‘Core’ feature added by the WPExplorer Total theme – disable that plugin and it all fires up as usual.

    It’s not just the VLP icon either, the icons for ‘Feedzy’ and ‘click to tweet’ disappeared too.

    Looks like I’ll need to get in touch with WPExplorer – Thanks anyway!
