• Hi,

I’m getting the “No authentication Token found for this Target.” error when trying to syn content between a local desktop server site and a wpengine staging site though I’m using the RC1 candidate which was said to have resolved this issue.

I’m wondering if the issue stems from the site being a multisite. Also since its a multisite does the target url have to be specific to the site or use the parent site’s url.

  • This question I asked myself even now: Is this plugin compatible with multisites?

    Hello chinaraj,

We have been informed that on WPEngine we are running into an mod_security conflict. If you add these changes to your .htaccess file it should get you past this issue.

    Hello summerfeeling,

Yes, this works for Multisite. The Target URL needs to be set with the subdirectory or subdomain of the sub site that you are connecting to.

I tried adding the suggested solution to the .htaccess file on both the target and origin sites and I still get No authentication Token found for this target.

Please download or upgrade to the just released version 1.0. This should resolve any issues.

Sigh… I have updated to ver 1.0 but on posts I do not see the WPSite Sync metabox so I can’t use it. I don’t know if a clash with another plugin is not causing it to show up.

    Hello chinaraj,

Please uninstall on both the Source and the Target and reinstall with the latest version. Be sure to click the radio button to remove all data.

After installing please check the Settings > WPSiteSync to confirm that the Target is set and you have the green check mark for the password. The URL needs to be the sub directory or sub domain on the multi-site that you want to talk to.
