    Hello,

Does this plugin work with Multisites now?

I’ve seen many years of this question and some “maybe soon” answers.

    Thank you,

    Chris

    Hi @anotheropus,

You are correct! Multisite support has been requested for some time now and it has been on the drawing board the same. Just to give some background on this part of the project. Our initial development of multisite support leads us to have to modify the core. This was not much of an issue as we built it, but then quickly found that the issue would be making it compatible with both versions at the same time.

We did not give up on the idea but have not found enough requests to take such an undertaking.

Hope this helps explain it a bit more.

As of WordPress 5.7 and WP OAuth Server 4.1.7 multisite support is working. Lower versions may not work as expected.

    Thanks

Hi Justin, that is great news about multisite. I was just looking for a SSO solution for subdomain multisite.

What is the structure of the Server/Client for multisite?

WP OAuth server on the main site example.com, and then https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/single-sign-on-client/ clients on each other subsite.example.com?

Or does each site (main and subsites) have their own WP OAuth server? Which was hinted at in your release info “support for multiple instances of WP OAuth Server on a network install” https://wp-oauth.com/2021/04/wp-oauth-server-multisite-support-update/ If this is the case, then does each site need to also have a SSO Client?

    Thanks
