• Does this work with Yoast or AIO SEO plugins?

Yoast or AIO SEO do not change the actual titles, just the meta data, how does your tool integrate in to work with either of these plugins?

    Is there any know issues?
Do you match title with separate meta descriptions for SEO purposes?

Another thing, do such a/b titles both get indexed by Google at same time?

I don’t know how those plugins work, so I can’t say for sure. But unless they do something pretty unusual, then it should work.

    Hi Jason,

Sorry, maybe my descriptions were not clear enough, please find below links to those extremely popular SEO plugins:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordpress-seo/
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/

I would think that more then 99% of WordPress users would have one or the other installed.

If you never used either of them before please also let me know ??

    Thanks

Thanks. Are you having compatibility issues with the plugins or are you just curious?

My plugin is pretty simple. Whenever someone asks for the post’s title, the plugin will give it one based on it’s algorithm. Search engines will index whichever title they are shown. Until you have a reason to think otherwise, I would just assume that there won’t be any problems. ??

I tested this plugin along with WordPress SEO plugin.

Using this plugin along with an SEO plugin is pointless as your plugin is not changing the meta info stored in the SEO plugin. Since the SEO plugin directs what title and description is shown on social media sites and search engines, the title’s from your plugin will show only once the user has reached the article on our blog.

That’s right, the plugin is only able to alter the titles on your own blog site. It cannot test the titles when they are displayed on social media or search engines.

    Hi Jason,

What happens when someone clicks on a headline already indexed on another site? ie. will it still find the same article even though the headline may be different? Also do you delete all other lines after a period of time and only go with the best option? or do you just leave all the options?

Does this plugin take any extra server resources to run?

It will find the correct article, regardless of the title that is being shown. It may not be the same title, though. For example, if you are testing Title A and Title B and Google indexes the article with Title A, a user may click on it and see Title B. There isn’t a good way around this.

Yes, there is a setting that determines how long before the plugin chooses the best title and deletes the other.

Yes, depending on how often the plugin recalculates the title probabilities, the plugin will take some extra server resources – though keeping the setting at 30 minutes+ should be acceptable for more sites.

    Hi Jason,

Thanks for the update. All sounds good. My biggest concern was about loosing visitors who cant find your content if the headlines change.

I imagine this all sorts itself out over time if you set a time period then the final winner will be a proven line that will end up getting indexed with better results.

Does this work better with new posts or can it help older posts as well which have more history with the search engines?

    Regards

It should be able to help both older and newer posts. However, it’s probably going to help newer posts more because they will probably have higher exposure on your site than older posts.

Hey, I just got to know about this wonderful plugin from seo-hacker.com

Does this work according to search engines i.e is it SEO based or just jumbling of words.

Interesting concept!!! Would make life more simpler.

I’m not quite sure what you are asking… you pick all of the titles yourself. It doesn’t generate them for you.

Installed plugin – and did not find WP Experiment icon at top next to “W” icon….

settings for plugin showed up, but no way to access the test area….

am using yoast seo premium and yoast google analytics….

    any ideas ?

    thankyou

I think you may not be looking in the right place. There should now be a “Add a Title” link underneath your titles in the post page.
