Does URL Shortify tweak any system files?

    I’ve been doing URL shortening by making changes to .htaccess, and I hate that approach.

    Does URL Shortify do its work entirely within the WP ecosystem (code and database), or does it have to make changes to any web server files?

    No. URL Shortify doesn’t make changes to any server files. It works within the WP code and database.
