• Howdy

My site isn’t very fast in terms of loading pages. Recently I changed from theme Weaver to theme Twenty Seventeen hoping that that would has a positive influence.

Whether or not, I discovered the possibility of having more Frontpages. I do want to use this feature but I am a bit reluctant. Does the usage of one or more frontpages have any (negative) effect on load time of the homepage, especially on mobile devices? I use featured images too, 500Mb!

    Cheers

Certainly multiple featured images coming from the different page sections, each or all adding up to 500MB will have a dramatically negative effect on page speed.

Andrew thanks, but I have to apologize for my poor way of asking.

Of course it effects load time but what I meant is this: does it effect the load time measured by for instance Google. Cause I do not want to diminish the rather poor load time that I already have. Does Google measure load time time the complete webpage or does it stop at the end of loading the homepage and is the rest not measured.
