Does what it says on the tin!

For some reason I’ve never been able to get the image uploader working on my own widgets. This made it trivial to add the functionality I needed.

Definitely needs some knowledge of how widgets work to save the data in your own widget, and some dev experience to retrieve the image URL in the widget front end (hint, it returns an attachment ID).
