This plugin is excellent, especially considering it’s free.

You get a ton of options, starting from the most basic ones to some quite advanced and down to adding your own CSS/JS.

Note to dev: Disabling lightbox on mobile should work only for phones. Many tablets have the screen resolution of a laptop (1024×768+). It makes no sense to disable lightbox for those as well.
