Does Wordfence scan and monitor the .htaccess file?

  • I believe we scan the htaccess file but do not alert. Many plugins write to the htaccess file so it would be hard to determine if something was supposed to be writing there or not. I think on production sites I have managed I have set the permissions to 644 to ensure only I would be writing to it.
