Doesn’t appear to work with any type of cron

Does this plug in work with any form of cron?
In summary, when using another plugin that uploads images via an automated cron, this plug appears to not find / doesn’t know what image extension is available (either ImageMagick or GD) and as a result, doesn’t apply the watermark. When the same plugin is ran manually within admin however it does.
In other words it appears to only work if the pictures have been added manually, any form of automated import is not recognised.
