    Hi,

I have an installation to test your newsletter plugin. Till now everything is fine. New subscribers are added with double opt-in to the list.

My problem is I get no error message if I subscribe again with an already existing email. It still sends the activation email and overwrites the existing email (for example with a new name) if I click the activation-link.

Any idea what is wrong? How can I administrate that it is not possible to register with an already existing email?

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Best regards,
    Martin

Ok. I found the following section in your manual:

Why an address can subscribe twice
Because you can have more than one form inviting to subscribe for different reasons and collecting the email address on different list. Hence I can decide for example to subscribe today to your site to receive your newsletter, and tomorrow I will subscribe again to have your latest free ebook.

Ok. You can’t administrate the newsletter plugin to avoid a twice registration with the same email, right?

But in the WordPress admin panel for the newsletter-plugin I see at the page=newsletter_subscription_options the section “Special Cases” with a textbox with following content:

This subscription can’t be completed, sorry. The email address is blocked or already subscribed. You should contact the owner to unlock that email address. Thank you.

In which case this message is shown?

    Best regards,
    Martin
