Aside from the sharing buttons, NGFB and WPSSO are basically the same code. Some of the defaults have changed over time, so this may be what you are seeing. Which SEO plugin are you using?

Can I assume your issue has been resolved?

I use the SEO that comes with the Genesis framework. NGFB seems to detect it and uncheck the box but WPSSO doesn’t. Sorry for the delayed response.

Neither plugin detects the Genesis framework — The old behavior was to disable the ‘description’ meta tag by default, but the latest versions enable the ‘description’ meta tag by default. You are seeing the difference between old and new versions, not between NGFB and WPSSO.
