• It tells me to setup Facebook to begin with:

Facebook for WooCommerce is almost ready. To complete your configuration, complete the setup steps.

I click on the link and it says loading for a while…

    Then reports:
    Connection failed
    Warning
Check that you’re logged into your store. You can close this window and reopen the plugin from inside your store’s admin panel.

I can see everything in the store. Don’t know what it is expecting. Facebook is open, but it doesn’t even see it.

  • Hey @richcb7,

Thanks for taking the time to leave this review. I’m really sorry about these problems with the setup process!

If you’d like to give it another try, could you please confirm that you’re using the most recent version of the plugin? Do you see this same error when you attempt to setup the plugin in other browsers? This should help us start narrowing down the problem!

Again, I’m really sorry for the problems our plugin has caused. I hope we can work together to set things right!

    Thank you,
    Lindsey

I don’t see any version reference.

I am logged into WordPress and in the WooCommerce Admin settings on the Integration tab. Under the link for Facebook for WooCommerce. I click on the button Get Started for Facebook. It opens another window that plays a working GIF and after a while returns the message:

    Connection Failed
Check that you’re logged into your store. You can close this window and reopen the plugin from inside your store’s admin panel.

That is all that I get.

    Hey @richcb7,

Thanks for following up! You should be able to see the plugin version by going to Plugins and finding the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin in that list. The current version is 1.11.2. If you’re not already on that version, could you please update the plugin and try again?

If that doesn’t explain or resolve the issue, could you please let me know? I’d be happy to keep digging into this further!

    Cheers!

Yes, the plugin is the latest version: 1.11.2

    Hey @richcb7,

Thanks for confirming! What browser are you currently using to open the admin dashboard? We’ve had a few merchants in the past run into issues when using Firefox with Facebook Container add-on which seems to block the required scripts for the setup wizard to load.

If possible, could you please try to load the admin dashboard, and then the “Get Started” pop-up window in either a private browser/incognito window or by using a different browser?

    Cheers!

    Simon.
