Doesn't do what it really should

  • Maintenance mode does activate, but there are issues.

    1. background image doesn’t show up
    2. Backend settings do not allow you to control much at all.

    – As an administrator, when you go into maintenance mode you should be able to view the frontend while logged in. With this plugin you can’t work on the site while you’re in maintenance mode, because you can’t see the frontend and there are no settings to change that.

    If you’re looking to just do very minor updates that do not require access to the frontend, this is fine (even without the background image, at least there is text) but if you need to work, this plugin doesn’t help.
