• It broke my site! After I (foolishly) updated the Zerif lite theme to it’s latest version, I was notified it needed a new plugin in order to work (without it the site doesn’t look right, all the theme’s widgets are broken). So I immediately installed and activated the plugin, but some of the widgets still doesn’t work.
It’s worth mentioning that I’m using a child theme in order to edit some of the themes features.

now I have to rollback to my last backup and lose many hours of work that went in between then and now. lesson learned ??

    Hi,

WordPress made Zerif Lite live for few hours some time ago which caused this issue. The update wasn’t supposed to be out yet and was still going under review. Sorry but it wasn’t under our control. Please check now and it should work properly.

    Let us know. ??

    Hi Hardeep,
I was happy with this theme, but themeisle changed their tune, you seem to be more concerned now with who buys the pro version than who will continue using the lite one. It might be the right tune for your pocket, but you’re loosing loyal users (read: potential customers) along the way, and that’s too bad.

    Hi,

Well, no. Let me explain. This happened: https://wptavern.com/zerif-lite-suspended-from-wordpress-theme-directory-300k-users-left-without-updates#comment-197295

We were required to do these changed. We didn’t do them and then we were removed from www.ads-software.com, so we HAD to do these changes in order to get to all the users.

We are trying to make the required changes without removing any features, so we have to shift them to a plugin. We did and sent the theme for review, and somehow the update was sent out to the users and sites broke.

Hope you understand. We’re trying really hard with Zerif Lite, and if you ever see the features being removed from Zerif Lite, just let us know.

Let me know your thoughts. ??
