Doesn't play nicely with Custom Sidebars

I’ve just come across this plugin – it’s exactly what I needed. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to use Custom Sidebars with this plugin installed. I’d really like to use both of these plugins together. Is there any advice you can give to make this possible?
