    Hi Robin,

    You’re right, this plugin does not automatically “remove” the original parent page status, as this logic is pretty complex and wrapped up in lots of different ways in lots of different themes/plugins. For custom post types, the plugin should work just fine, but for pages and posts – which have a bunch of functionality for identifying menu parents already included in WordPress core, you’ll be required to do some manual filtering on your own, or simpler yet, some custom CSS and/or jQuery to simply hide the “parent” status of unwanted items in the menu.
