Doesn’t replace url in meta

What do you mean for “author page meta”? In the author page it works well, can you post the URL (without domain, of course) of the page? For example: /author/firstname-lastname/

@matteomanna I’m having a similar issue, the $get_author_avatar hook doesn’t retrieve the set user profile image, it instead pulls the generic user gravatar url
