Doesn’t seem to work in my situation

  • I installed the plugin and selected CSS + Hide Author but without any results. ?? Also tried PHP + Hide Author. No results ether. Author name is still visible. ??

    Details :
    * I tried with 2 different browsers : Google Chrome (version 87.0.4280.67 for macOS) and Apple Safari (14.0 for macOS).
    ** I’m using WordPress 5.5.3 (latest version) + Neve theme (latest version 2.9.3) by ThemeIsle.

    UPDATE : Finally I discovered that the Neve theme itself has an option to toggle the visibility of the Author field. So I activated that and removed the Hide/Remove Metadata plugin.

    This plug-in would be more useful if it could show/hide the metadata on a per post basis instead of just a global disable. I suppose it’s useful if your theme doesn’t already support this (most seem to).
