Hey Jeroen, nice work on the plugin! Thanks!

But I noticed something, the conditions don’t seem to work on subcategories as I’ll explain below.

In my store I have set up categories and subcategories, such as
    MAIN PRODUCTS > SUB-PRODUCTS > SUB-SUB-PRODUCTS

When adding a product I select only the last category in the hierarchy (eg. SUB-SUB-PRODUCTS) because WooCommerce automatically considers the product as also belonging to the respective parent categories (eg. SUB-PRODUCTS and MAIN PRODUCTS).

So when I created a condition to apply free shipping to all products under SUB-PRODUCTS, the plugin won’t recognize this. It will only work if I add the SUB-SUB-PRODUCTS category – and this isn’t viable because I have dozens of SUB-SUB-PRODUCTS categories.

    Any tips on this?

    Hi,

The Category condition indeed only looks at the direct selected category.
Some people want/need it to include the parent or child categories, so there’s no one size fits all which is why I’ve made it accurately only look at the selected category.

You could create a custom condition though – the plugin has been made to be extendable. This would allow you to create a ‘Category – including subs’ custom condition for example.

    Cheers,
    Jeroen
