• So after I installed Wp Ultimate Recipe plugin I tried to add a related posts plugin and it did not work.

I tried with this 2 very popular plugins:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/related-posts-for-wp/

    and

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordpress-23-related-posts-plugin/

    and neither of them work.

Besides of this I don’t like the fact that this plugins makes the posts useless since it forces you to use recipes instead of them. I would rather prefer to use posts and insert my recipes into the posts than use recipes and give up on posts.

I know that there is a possibility to insert this recipes into the posts also but in the same time it creates the recipe page also and there will be problems with duplicate content. (SEO purposes)

Another thing that I don’t like is that the templates have a lot of inline style which is not very indicated to use if you try to build a strong SEO website.

On the other side the support for this plugin seem to be good and you can get a response very fast.

We already discussed this in detail and I know you won’t agree with me, but I’ll just clarify for anyone who stumbles upon this:

    1. Our plugin uses a custom post type for recipes. That’s what custom post types are for and how WordPress recommends doing this. It allows us to have some fun features (like listing all recipes using a certain ingredient) as well.

Unfortunately that also means it’s not compatible with some other plugins out there, like those 2 related post plugins, that don’t support custom post types. Luckily there are plenty of plugins out there that do support custom post types, so you’ll find something you can use with our plugin.

To be clear: custom post types are part of WordPress by default and the recommended way of doing these things. It’s not like we’re doing something crazy that we invented ourselves.

    2. The templates are generated dynamically and will indeed output inline CSS for the styling. This will however not affect your SEO ranking, no need to worry about that.

It does allow you to customize the entire template (premium plugin) and easily change all the template colors (coming very soon to the free plugin).

    3. Thanks for mentioning the support. We do pride ourselves on offering the best support possible and responding to all feedback asap.

    Kind regards,
    Brecht
