I tried your plugin, but decided not to use it. I deactivated it, and then I deleted it. However, your tool bars and buttons are still displaying in my media library. How do I properly get rid of the remnants of this plugin?

I found this (below) on an earlier thread in your support where someone had the same issue. I was able to do steps one and two, but I don’t know where or how to remove the UDF in step three.

Thanks for your message. Unfortunately there is currently no uninstaller for Real Media Library implemented, but you can do this manually:

    1. Remove all wp_realmedialibrary* tables from your database
    2. Remove all option_name LIKE 'rml%' entries from your wp_options database table
    3. Remove the UDF wp_realmedialibrary_fn_childs

    Hi @fpmtinc,

It’s great that you’ve already found your own solution in the meantime!

In general, if you deactivate the plugin under “Plugins” in your WordPress backend, all of the plugin’s code will be deactivated. This means that you will no longer find any additional UI elements from Real Media Library.

The data from the database will not be deleted, so that if you have temporarily deactivated the plugin, not all settings and especially folder structures are irrevocably lost. However, you can also delete everything from the Real Media Library database using the steps you have outlined.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to let us know!

    Best regards,

Hello, and thank you for your response. While I found the solution in a previous thread, I stated that I didn’t know how to complete step three. I was able to do steps one and two, but I don’t know where or how to remove the UDF in step three. And, your plugin buttons are still showing up in my media library as a result.

    Hi @fpmtinc,

If you have deactivated the plugin, buttons technically can no longer be displayed. I must therefore assume that you still have the plugin active in some form and that removing it in step 3 would not help you, as the MySQL functions would be created again directly.

Please create a private support ticket at devowl.io/support in which you give us temporary access to your website, and we will be happy to take a look at what is going wrong with your setup.

    Best regards,

Thanks again for your help. When I installed your plugin I also installed Responsive Lightbox & Gallery at the same time. I just deactivated that plugin as well and the buttons are gone. All good, thanks!
