    Hi Steve,

The W3C doesn’t like Schema.org markup. There’s been much discussion about this on the W3.org forums over the past 3 years. You can validate Schema.org markup using the Google Rich Snippets Testing Tool and ignore errors from the W3C validator.

A lot of people prefer to have HTML code that passes the W3C validator without errors so we added an option to Disable Schema.org in All in One SEO Pack for those who want this.

Given that Google says that they don’t use W3C validation as a ranking factor, but Google does care about Schema.org markup, and given that we develop an SEO plugin, then we care about Schema.org markup and not markup that passes the W3C validator.
