Finally working!! Better instructions needed.

  • After a lot of frustration trying to get this plugin to work, I discovered that the reason the plugin was not displaying on the homepage was because it was not enabled under the Homepage Control section of the Customizer. For that reason, I recommend that Woothemes update their installation instructions to this:

    1. Upload storefront-homepage-contact-section to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
    2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
    3. Configure the display in the Customizer (look for the ‘Homepage Contact’ section).
    4. Enable the ‘Storefront Homepage Contact Section’ in the ‘Homepage Control’ section of the Customizer.
    5. Done!
