• Review Update: this remove footer tool does indeed work…thank you so much, I highly recommend!!!

    I installed the plugin and entered txt to remove. But it did not work as the “NewsPortal by MsyteryThemes” footer is still there.

  • Hello @syncrore,

    We are sorry to hear you had trouble with our plugin.
    Can you please let me know what text you added in Step 1?
    Please keep in mind that in order for the plugin to work you need to add the exact HTML code found in the source code.

    I have installed the free WP theme News Portal and then searched for the copyright text in the source code.
    I have then added it in Tools > Remove footer credits > Step 1: https://gyazo.com/6eebf47f322d66e871902ca4182597a8 (screenshot with the code)

    Left Step 2 empty > saved and it worked, as you can see from my 2nd screenshot: https://gyazo.com/177e967df1835ff6b1dd4cbb47ad2b20

    If you want to give this another shot, below is the code you need to add in Step 1:

    <div class="site-info">
    			<span class="np-copyright-text">
    				News Portal			</span>
    			<span class="sep"> | </span>
    			Theme: News Portal by <a href="https://mysterythemes.com/" rel="designer" target="_blank">Mystery Themes</a>.		</div><!-- .site-info -->

    So you can test this our on your end as well.

    Let me know how it goes!

    Best wishes,
    Mihaela

    That worked, thx so much!!

    @syncrore – would you please consider changing your review now that you’ve managed to fix/remove your footer copyright using Remove Footer Credit? ??

    @syncrore – could you please check this thread? I don’t really find this to be fair, given that the plugin actually works ??

    Thanks,
    Cristian.
