• I activated the plugin and sure enough the gallery turned into a beautiful row of images, but when I clicked on each image, nothing happened. It seems all functionality has been lost.

Edit: Changed the rating to 5. The fault was my own. It was actually a plugin (Shortpixel) that was causing the issue. Shortpixel wraps the img tags with a picture tag if you’re delivering the images as webp files.

  • It’s not possible to work with any theme, the plugin works and is used by thousands of sites. Please try to ask for support before leaving a 1 star review.

If possible send me a link to inspect the issue.

Please check if your theme has a built-in gallery and if you can disable it.

Switch to the Twenty Nineteen theme to rule out any theme-specific problems. If it is a conflict with the theme please contact the theme developer for support. Our plugin can only disable the built-in Woo gallery.

Failing that please try to disable other plugins. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

Hey @deanoakley I appreciate the reply. Sorry for the haste review. I will try again and change my review if it ends up working. The theme I’m using is here: https://demos.themetrust.com/ridge/ I don’t think it has a built-in gallery.

Basically, I installed WooCommerce, kept all the stock settings, and installed your plugin. The thumbnails arranged into a neat carousel which was great and clicking on the main product image zoomed the image and opened a gallery which was also great. What didn’t work was clicking each thumbnail and having the respective image show up in the main window. Also, selecting a variation from the dropdown did nothing as well. I tried deactivating the plugins but it still didn’t work, so I guess it’s a theme issue.

Unfortunately, I can’t show the actual site for client privacy reasons.

It’s hard to say without setting up my own demo. It’s more likely an issue with the theme than our plugin.

It actually was a plugin issue. The culprit was Shortpixel. What it does is wrap the images in a picture tag if I deliver the images as webp. Is this something you can fix?

I just changed the rating to a 5.

    Thanks for the re-review! ??

Adding extra tags would break a lot of things…

You may be able to disable it for the gallery using Exclude patterns

Let me know how you go
